Peter Garnham has been a member of the Lions Club of East Maitland for 26 years, holding many board positions and activity/project coordinator roles.
He is one of the founding members of the Maitland Mens Shed, a member of the Maitland Steam and Antique Machinery Association and the current President of the National Historical Machinery Association.
Peter is a former Deputy Mayor and is serving his fifth term as a Maitland City Councillor. He is passionate about and dedicated to the community, as shown through his unwavering service to the many clubs and projects he is involved with.
Peter has received many awards for his dedication and hard work, including Lions Club’s Melvin Jones Fellowship, Rotary’s Paul Harris Fellowship and is a Life Member of both Apex and Blue Light.
Peter has made a remarkable impact on the club and the community through his leadership and dedication. Peter is always at the forefront of the club’s fundraising and community service efforts.
