The impact of Lions is loud and clear. But some members live with hearing loss that impairs their ability to connect with the community they live to serve.
During the month of March, Specsavers Audiology provided Lions Clubs around Australia with the opportunity to nominate a local Lions member for the chance to win a full hearing assessment and a pair of latest technology Specsavers Advance digital hearing aids.
Congratulations to the following Lions Club members:
- Lion Donald A Russell – Lions Club of Toowoomba Inc
- Lion Chandra Mangalore – Lions Club of Noble Park – Keysborough
- Lion John Hannah – Lions Club of Mornington
In October 2020, the Australian Lions Hearing Dogs announced a major sponsorship agreement with Specsavers Audiology. This invaluable support will contribute to the expansion of the ALHD training facility in Adelaide, enabling the delivery of more Hearing Assistance Dogs than ever before to help people suffering from hearing loss.
Specsavers Audiology were truly inspired by the generous nominations and their team of audiology professionals feel honoured to be providing hearing care services to such strong community leaders.
“I am very pleased to be one of the lucky Lions Club Members that won a pair of Hearing Aids provided by Specsavers Audiology. When I was told I was a winner, I felt quite privileged. I attended my hearing assessment at Specsavers Mornington with Jade Wong. I was extremely impressed with the thoroughness and professionalism of the assessment. Jade kept me informed on each aspect of the test and explained the results in detail. I have had several hearing assessments in the past but none as thorough as the Specsavers assessment. Jade has scheduled me for the fitting. Many thanks to Specsavers for the opportunity.”

“Specsavers Mulgrave Audiologist, Daniel Fares conducted a full hearing assessment and found that I have mild to severe hearing loss. He has now fitted me with top of the range hearing aids. I can now hear much better, including the birds chirping in the park. Daniel explained how the hearing aids work and how to maintain them properly. Big thank you to Daniel!
