201Q1 PDG Lunch – 30 September 2012
District 201 Q1 Past District Governors Association
History
Ken Scells’ former District 201 Q5 had always had a Past District Governor’s
Association. When he completed his term as District Governor in 1993 he
felt that District 201 Q1 should also have a Past District Governor’s
Association.
However, it was not until September, 1994, before the inaugural dinner took
place. It was held at Desmonds Restaurant, Tweed Heads on Friday, 30
September, 1994.
Host Governor was PDG Ray Phippard, the longest serving 201 Q1 past
governor.
As the first district in Australia, it has been governed by such illustrious
Past Governors as Bill Tresize, James Richardson and Jamie Jameson.
Organisation Rules
It is of a social nature and conducts an annual dinner/lunch open to all
Past Governors resident in District 201 Q1.
The functions are only hosted by Past Governors of District 201 Q1.
Past Governor bannerettes are displayed on a large banner at annual
dinners/lunches.
