Lions Clubs around Australia are joining in to celebrate the organisation’s international centenary, following its formation in June 1917.
Now the largest service club organisation in the world, with 46, 000 clubs and 1.6 million members, Lions Clubs are committed to providing humanitarian support to communities in need.
The Centennial celebration runs for a three year period in total, beginning in June 2015 and ending in June 2018. Internationally, Lions has set a goal of serving 200 million people a year by 2021, tripling its current humanitarian impact.
