DG Trevor joined the Lions Club of Lismore in 1982 , remaining with them in a very active role for 30 years. On moving to St. Leonards he then transferred to the Lions Club of Portarlington / Drysdale where he has been a member for 5 years.

During his time in Lions, he has held positions at Club, District and Multiple District level. He has served 16 years on District Cabinet. At Multiple District level, he held the position of Trustee for V2 / V3 to the Australian Lions Children's Mobility Foundation, for 8 years; the last 3, being National Chairman.

In the years 1999 - 2002 when given the task of District Chairman for Cord Blood, Trevor established, coordinated and Chaired, a District Cord Blood Committee, which in turn raised over $100,000 for the Cord Blood Research Unit at the Geelong Hospital.

In 2012 he organized a "Gopher Ride" for Muddy Waters, involving Lions Clubs on route from Sydney to Melbourne, with the purpose of raising awareness and money for the Australian Lions Children's Mobility Foundation.

Over the years DG Trevor's commitment and dedicated work in Lions has been acknowledged by a number of awards; some of these including a District Governor's Star Award, James D. Richardson, Melvin Jones Fellowship, and the International President's Certificate of Achievement Award.

Jan and Trevor married in 1972 and have 2 children and 6 grand children. Jan has supported and worked with Trevor in all endeavours; this has not only involved all aspects of Lions, but also volunteering within the community and with other organizations; some of these being, Gnarpurt Art and Craft Festival, Foster Parenting, Blaze Aid and most recently Aussie Helpers.

Trevor's interests involve family, sport, Lions, gardening, (although Jan's the gardener) and fishing.
